Preliminary note: Today, I would like to extend my greetings and gratitude to our new Brazilian collaborators who, starting today, will help us continue to share my meditations and the “3 Minutes for Abba” in Portuguese.
“I have chosen this day to begin My work among men because today is the feast of the Precious Blood of My Son Jesus. I intend to bathe in this Blood the work I am beginning, so that it may bear great fruit among all mankind.” (Message from God the Father to Sister Eugenia Ravasio)
This is the great work of love that our Father established in 1932 so that people might come to know Him better. To this end, He chose a nun to whom He appeared and dictated the message in which He expressed His desires for humanity. God emphasizes that this is a great grace for humanity since, as the Father points out in the Message to Sister Eugenia, people still do not know Him deeply enough, especially with regard to His love for them. Often, they continue to hold a mistaken image of God.
Although the Church has recognized the authenticity of this apparition, a fundamental desire of our Father has not been fulfilled: the establishment of a liturgical feast to honor the First Person of the Holy Trinity under the title “Father of All Humanity.” While the fulfillment of this request primarily falls to the ecclesiastical hierarchy, we can all fulfill our Heavenly Father’s other desire: to know, honor, and love Him as He truly is.
By choosing the Holy Feast of the Blood of Christ—which continues to be celebrated as a solemnity every July 1 on the traditional calendar—to immerse His work in the Blood of His Son, our Father shows us that through His coming, He desires to renew the grace of Redemption for us.
As Christians, we know that we have been redeemed by the Blood of Jesus (Ephesians 1:7). His love led Him to death on the Cross and opened for us the way to the Heavenly Father. Through His apparition to Mother Eugenia and His message to humanity, God wants us to understand how much He loves us.
