It may be difficult for us to imagine that such a crisis like the pandemic could be exploited by evil powers on various levels to install possible forms of rule which would then control humanity and guide it according to their ideas!
In the text “Veritas liberabit vos” it says at one point:
“We also ask government leaders to ensure that forms of control over people, whether through tracking systems or any other form of location-finding, are rigorously avoided. The fight against Covid-19, however serious, must not be the pretext for supporting the hidden intentions of supranational bodies that have very strong commercial and political interests in this plan. In particular, citizens must be given the opportunity to refuse these restrictions on personal freedom, without any penalty whatsoever being imposed on those who do not wish to use vaccines, contact tracking or any other similar tool.”
What is meant here? Do the authors of the text see such developments?
Tracking systems are devices in which all movements of the person can be controlled. In relation to the corona pandemic, this may be justified by the desire to reduce the risk of transmission of the diseases and thus list all contact persons, their further contacts, etc. In this way, it could develop into an almost complete surveillance system, so that the individual largely loses his privacy.
Would such measures be justified in order to reduce the risks of the pandemic or are they excessive?
This is not the place to have such a discussion and that is not the intention of my considerations. I prefer to leave that to other people who are better placed to judge this pandemic and its many aspects.
What I want to do, however, is to make it clear to us believers that there are indeed motivations to rule over humanity. As Christians we should be able to understand this relatively easily.
Let us look at the temptation of Jesus in the desert.
The third temptation of the devil was to tempt Jesus to worship him. In return he offered the “kingdoms of this world”:
“Next, taking him to a very high mountain, the devil showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendour. And he said to him, ‘I will give you all these, if you fall at my feet and do me homage.’” (Matt 4,8-9)
The intention of the devil – as a spiritual being – is therefore known to us. He sees himself as ruler over the kingdoms of this world and wants to be worshipped by men.
We can easily see an image of these satanic intentions in those rulers who exercised their rule as tyrants and dictators and subjugated countless people. They can also mostly be identified as anti-Christian figures, because the erection of one’s own person or ideology did not tolerate the rule of God, because it would have restricted one’s own. Without doubt, such rulers are inspired by the satanic spirit and are under its guidance. They may not know this themselves, but their works show where their destructive and manipulative power comes from.
So, there can be rulers or also forms of rule which are under the inspiration of darkness and which people largely do not even notice it!
We know from the Scriptures that before Jesus comes, again the ” the wicked One, the lost One” will come (cf. 2Thess 2,3).
In the literature, and in the case of many who have dealt with the figure of Antichrist, there is the indication that this is a ruler who will have control over the whole world for a time. He wants to set up a kingdom that is in opposition to the rule of God and he will use all the means of this world to exercise this rule.
Whoever does not close his eyes can see that there are already many political currents that have antichristian contents themselves or support them. Yesterday I mentioned the 58 states that, together with Canada, want to promote and implement a deterrent hostile policy that is hostile to life and that goes against the commandments of God.
If such an anti-Christian policy is even being specifically promoted in the midst of such a crisis, what forces are behind it? What happens when such “tracking systems” fall into the hands of those powers that already pursue an anti-Christian policy? What would happen if, for example, a “forced vaccination” was carried out to protect people from the coronavirus, but the substance of the vaccine contained cells from aborted foetuses. In such a case it would be impossible for a believing Catholic or Christian to take such a vaccine for this reason alone!
We must be clear about the fact that there are forces of darkness which try to deceive people in order to enforce their aims. This can go so far as to accuse Christians, as in the days of the Roman Empire, of being like enemies of humanity, if they do not support a policy that for them is obviously anti-Christian. Can it then come to the point that they are observed and persecuted with tracking systems, and so all their contacts are also targeted?
Exaggerated?
In the Holy Scriptures it even goes so far that the Lord draws the attention of his disciples to the fact that they can be persecuted and killed, and their persecutors think that they are pleasing God with this (cf. Jn 16,2).
In a third text, it is necessary to refer also to the letter “Veritas liberabit vos” when it deals with the situation of the Church in the Covid crisis.
I hope – and I ask you to listen to me carefully – that it has become clear that I am not claiming that the outbreak of the pandemic is already a matter staged by certain powers.
However, it is important for me to monitor and see whether this pandemic is being used by the powers of darkness for their plans. We must also be very soberly aware that many people, governments, institutions, etc., can be involved in such a plan of darkness without realising it themselves. I therefore welcome the letter from the Cardinals and Bishops that they have fulfilled their pastoral duty and wish to draw our attention to such existing dangers, and I gladly join in their closing prayer:
“With faith, let us beseech the Lord to protect the Church and the world. May the Blessed Virgin, Help of Christians, crush the head of the ancient Serpent and defeat the plans of the children of darkness.”
