Message of the Father through Madre Eugenia

We have entered Lent and I have been carrying in my heart for some time the question of what theme I could develop in the meditations during this Holy Time. Although it is possible for me to use texts of the last years, which I also do occasionally when my time is short, but this was not what I felt I should do. So I asked my Lord what might be his wish and I think I understood that now some meditations should speak about the Father’s Book so that the believers become better known with this message.

What is the message of God the Father?

It is a so-called private revelation from God our Father in 1932 by Madre Eugenia, an Italian nun. For ten years, this message was examined by the local bishop, Bishop Alexandre Caillot, and the result was as follows:

“Following the dictates of my soul and my conscience, and with the keenest sense of my responsibility to the Church, I declare that supernatural and divine intervention seems to me the only logical and satisfactory explanation of the facts.”

The Church has therefore recognized this message and we are on safe ground. Whoever wants to find out more about Madre Eugenia and read the texts of the whole book will find the booklet, which I can highly recommend, on appropriate pages on the Internet or elsewhere.

How did I come to the Father’s message or better how did it come to me?

While I was in Ecuador, a woman who had lived for some time in our community gave me the booklet with the Father’s Message, asking me to examine it, since it was a private revelation. I first read the extensive report of the local bishop, and when I saw that it had already been examined and approved by the Church, I saw no need to re-evaluate it on my own. However, I wanted to read it in order to know its spiritual content.

From the very beginning I was deeply touched by this booklet, because through the voice of the Father, as Sr. Eugenia wrote it down, a great and tender love of our heavenly Father could be notifed. This has deepened my relationship with God our Father very much and above all, it has created a great trusting relationship. On almost every page of this little book (short in text), the Father assures us how much he loves us and how much he wants us to know this love and feel secure in it.

The so-called “private revelations” are a great treasure of the Church. Just think of Lourdes, Fatima, Guadalupe, etc… There are many other messages which have had a strong influence on the life of the Church, such as that of Sr. Faustina Kowalska under others.

It is certainly right to examine them and to verify that nothing is infiltrated that could contradict the Church’s doctrine. There can be revelations that are false, whose origin is in the imagination of the person himself or, in the worst case, have been transmitted by the powers of darkness. But the fact that there are false messages cannot be a reason for closing ourselves definitively to God’s intervention by this means. If we were to act in this way, we would be in danger of “extinguishing the Spirit” (cf. 1 Thess 5,19)

After these introductory words we want to turn to the Father’s book starting tomorrow.

I will Harpa Dei ask to accompany the meditations with Musica sacra, so that the daily speeches follow a similar pattern as usual. Since I will only use excerpts from the book, it makes sense – as already mentioned above – to get the whole text.

Now, we will let ourselves be guided by the Father in this next stage of Lent.

Harpa Dei accompanies the daily scriptural interpretation or spiritual teaching of Br. Elija, their spiritual father. These meditations can be heard on the following website www.en.elijamission.net
