Officium Parvum B.M.V

The “Officium Parvum Beatae Virginis Mariae” is a beloved liturgical prayer in the Catholic world, dating back to the 8th century and widely used since the 10th century. The Officium Parvum can be prayed by the lay faithful as an alternative to the Breviary, so that it can be used every day of the year in place of Lauds. We had the grace to record this Marian Office at the Dormition Abbey on Mount Zion in Jerusalem, where, according to an ancient tradition, the house of St. John the Apostle was located and where the Virgin Mary “fell asleep” before being taken up into heaven.
