“I long to enrich you more and more!” (Message from the Father to Sister Eugenia Ravasio).
To understand our beloved Father’s heart, we must allow His words to sink deeply into our hearts. In them, we discover the nature of His love for us. God wants to make us sharers in His immeasurable riches. He longs to fill us with His gifts and is waiting only for us to be ready to receive all that He wants to give us.
Unfortunately, our Father sometimes encounters closed hearts that do not understand who He truly is. People may feel threatened, thinking that God might demand something of them or give them something they do not want. In this case, they have a mistaken image of God, because in reality our heavenly Father only wants what is best for His children. We do not always know what is best, nor do we trust His love enough.
The Father’s desire to enrich us means He wants to multiply what He has already begun in us. Therefore, He not only grants us His gifts once and for all, but He also wants these gifts to increase. Let us think of love, which must never stagnate but grow ever more. To make this happen, the Father provides us with everything we need.
In the Message to Sister Eugenia Ravasio, He continues: “That is why I constantly offer you new graces and remind you of those you let pass you by without benefiting your souls, because you have such a limited idea of My goodness and My love.”
We must welcome the new graces He offers us, sense how God touches and strengthens us, and make the most of the spiritual formation He provides.
When God reminds us of the graces we have let slip by, we can express our regret to Him and ask Him to help us “recover” whatever is possible. Would our Father deny us this? How could He?
