“PLACING EVERY DAY IN GOD’S HANDS”

“It is important that you place each day in My hands, even when you are tired and worn out.” (Inner Word)

It’s not uncommon for us to want to do more than we are actually capable of accomplishing. One reason may be that we are tired and worn out. However, our Heavenly Father’s love embraces this state as well. We don’t only “deserve” His love when we push ourselves to the “utmost.” No, His love accompanies us through every situation.

God wants us to put our days in His hands and see each day as a gift of His goodness. Fatigue is part of human nature as long as we are on this earth. We have limitations that we must accept. When we do so, we will be at peace with them.

What a beautiful invitation from the Lord to entrust even our limitations to Him and to know that, above all, our Father wants us to walk through the day with Him. When we are strengthened and things go well for us, let us praise Him and thank Him. When we are “dragging ourselves through the day,” let us trustingly turn our gaze toward Him and thank Him for carrying us through. When misfortune befalls us, let us bear it with our eyes fixed on our Father. Some of these misfortunes may teach us humility. If we have fallen because of our weakness, let us look to the sea of God’s mercy, which longs to cleanse us again. Let us thank God for His forgiving goodness and place this day, too, in our Father’s hands.

Our Father will look upon us and say, “You are Mine!”

That is who our Father is!
