Part VIII: A warning about anti‑Christian influence in the Church

To supplement the quotes from various church leaders that we heard yesterday regarding the times of the Antichrist, we add, from a prophetic perspective, a passage from the revelations of the Virgin Mary to Don Stefano Gobbi of the Marian Priestly Movement:

“The beast with two horns, resembling a lamb, signifies Freemasonry infiltrated within the Church; that is, ecclesiastical Freemasonry, which has spread above all among the members of the hierarchy. This Masonic infiltration within the Church has already been foretold to you by Me at Fatima, when I announced that Satan would penetrate even to the very summit of the Church.

While the goal of Freemasonry is to lead souls to perdition by drawing them into the worship of false deities, the aim of ecclesiastical Freemasonry, on the other hand, is to destroy Christ and His Church by constructing a new idol—that is, a false Christ and a false Church.” (Message of June 13, 1989, Dongo)

“The Church will experience the hour of its greatest desertion; the evil man will infiltrate it and sit in the very Temple of God, while the small remnant that remains faithful will be subjected to the greatest trials and persecutions.” (Message of May 13, 1990, Fatima)

“Apostasy will then be widespread because almost everyone will follow the false Christ and the false Church. Then the door will be open for the appearance of the Antichrist!” (Message of June 17, 1989, Milan)

We could cite many other messages and statements, such as the warnings of Our Lady at La Salette, the detailed descriptions of St. Hildegard of Bingen, and other reliable testimonies, such as that of Anne Catherine Emmerich. The essence is always the same: in the last days the Church will suffer a severe attack and will be divided from within. The spirit of the Antichrist will penetrate even the Church’s hierarchy; there will be a great apostasy, and many Christians will follow the Antichrist. There will be cooperation between the Antichrist and a false church.

Therefore, the coming of the Antichrist has been clearly foretold by various sources. This is reason enough to observe carefully where the influence of the anti‑Christian spirit can already be detected amid the present confusion in the Church.

Unfortunately, from my point of view this spirit is increasingly present in the Church and exerts a strong influence over it. It has long been at work, causing confusion in theology, morality, the liturgy, the missionary mandate that the Lord entrusted to the Church, ecumenism, interreligious dialogue, and many other areas. This spirit strives to secularize the Church, weakens its transcendent focus, and reduces the Gospel to a merely earthly message of peace. The salt has lost its flavor. (cf. Mt 5:13)

This brief analysis of the situation—which describes the disaster and could be elaborated upon much further—indicates that the Church is under the strong influence of a “different spirit” (cf. 2 Cor 11:4), which disguises itself as an angel of light (cf. 2 Cor 11:14) and presents all these changes as if they were progress for Christianity, adapting it to the present age.

Although many of the trends mentioned were already evident during the pontificates preceding Francis’s, they were manifested in disobedience. Therefore, there is a decisive difference. Under Francis, the Church’s supreme leader and those who collaborate with him in that same spirit have become promoters of anti‑Christian influence within the Church. In this context, it is worth recalling the words of the message to Don Gobbi: “This Masonic infiltration within the Church has already been foretold to you by Me at Fatima, when I announced that Satan would penetrate even to the very summit of the Church.”

Let us first take a look at an almost inconceivable public act of idolatry that took place on October 4, 2019, in the Vatican Gardens and in St. Peter’s Basilica.

This “different spirit” has achieved what seemed unthinkable: it has lulled most bishops—including the one who holds the Petrine ministry—into complacency, to the point that a ritual honoring Pachamama could be performed at the See of the Universal Church without provoking a genuine outcry of indignation. Every Catholic—and especially the hierarchy—should know full well that such an act not only offends God, as the Old Testament attests on countless occasions, but also gives demons free rein to act, insofar as God permits it. Exorcists who speak the truth would confirm this without hesitation.

The mere fact that this act was possible can only be explained by the fact that blindness has been spreading for some time.

This idolatrous act shows the extent to which the Luciferian spirit has exerted its influence in the highest circles of the Church, even leading to a public offense against God. Attempts to explain this event as inculturation or any form of relativization only serve to increase the confusion.

Auxiliary Bishop Athanasius Schneider has spoken out clearly on this event:

“In the light of divine revelation, contained in the Word of God, the Tradition of the Church, and her Magisterium, the matter is very simple: making idols to worship them is a very grave sin. Prostrating oneself before idols is idolatry. Offering them gifts and sacrifices, carrying them in procession, seating them on a throne, crowning them, and burning incense before them is blatant idolatrous worship that is extremely immoral. Placing them on altars or in consecrated churches for the purpose of worshiping them is a true and authentic desecration.” (November 19, 2019; Source: kath.net)

In tomorrow’s meditation we will continue to analyze various events from recent years that highlight the growing influence of the anti‑Christian spirit within the Church.
